eSIM QR installation
Before starting the installation process, make sure:
Internet connection is available
The eSIM QR code you received is ready for scan (printed, saved to the phone's gallery, or displayed on another device)
Android:
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Connections
3. Tap SIM Manager
4. Tap Add eSIM/Add mobile plan
5. Tap Scan Code
6. Scan the QR OR Tap the Gallery icon and select the QR image
7. Tap Done / Continue and wait a few moments for the installation to be complete
After completing these steps, the installation is completed and you will see your new eSIM on your eSIMs list.
Make sure Data toaming is ON on your device for a quick connection once you will reach the destination:
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Connections
3. TAP Mobile Networks
4. Toggle Data Roaming ON
We recommend naming your new eSIM as "Hoam" or any other preferred name, to identify it later.
Once you’ve reached your destination, make sure mobile data is set to your eSIM:
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Connections
3. Tap SIM Manager
4. ENSURE that the eSIM is enabled. If not, toggle ON
5. Tap Mobile Data
6. Select your eSIM
Your eSIM should automatically connect to a supported mobile network.
NOTE: While using your eSIM, it is recommended to Switch OFF your original SIM plan to avoid any charges. Here’s how:
1. Tap Settings
2. Tap Connections
3. Tap SIM Manager
4. Toggle your Primary Line OFF
iOs (iPhone):
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Cellular
3. Tap Add eSIM/Add cellular plan
4. Tap Use QR Code
5. Scan the QR code OR tap Open Photos and select the QR image
6. Tap Continue
7. WAIT a few minutes for your eSIM to activate, and tap Done
8. Add a Label to your eSIM: Enter HOAM or any preferred label. Then tap Continue.
9. SELECT your Primary Line for calls and text messages, and tap Continue.
10. SELECT your Primary Line for iMessage & FaceTime, and tap Continue
11. SELECT your Primary Line for Cellular data
12. ENSURE that Allow Cellular Data Switching is turned off, and tap Done
After completing these steps, the installation is completed and you will see your new eSIM on your eSIMs list.
Make sure Data toaming is enabled ONLY on your eSIM, for a quick connection at the destination:
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Cellular
3. Tap your eSIM
4. ENSURE that the eSIM is enabled. If not, toggle Turn ON This Line
5. TOGGLE Data Roaming ON
6. Go back to Cellular
7. Select your Primary Line this time
8. Toggle Roaming Data OFF
This will make sure you avoid any charges on your original SIM plan.
After these steps, please Turn OFF your eSIM until you'll reach the destination.
Once you’ve reached your destination, Turn ON your eSIM and ensure mobile data is set to your eSIM:
1. Open Settings
2. Tap Cellular
3. Tap Cellular Data and select your eSIM
Your eSIM should automatically connect to a supported mobile network.
