eSIM connection guide

There are few reasons why your eSIM may appear connected to the network, but is not receiving an Internet connection.

You may experience the following problems when the eSIM is not connected to a data network:

· Slow download/upload speeds

· Only "E" (Edge) appears in the signal status, no 4G/LTE

· No Internet connection, even though eSIM shows a connection

IMPORTANT: DO NOT DELETE THE eSIM FROM YOUR PHONE!

If it's not working, don't worry, please follow the steps below or Contact us if you need assistance.

1. Are you in the eSIM service area?

Please note that your eSIM will only work in the area of the package you bought. You can install the eSIM on your device at any time, but it will not connect to a network until you arrive at your destination.

2. Turn on Roaming Data

Roaming Data must be enabled for the eSIM to connect to a network.
If you are not sure how to do that, Check our guide on How to activate Roaming on my eSIM.

3. Set your phone to use the eSIM for mobile data

Apple iOS (iPhone):

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Tap Cellular

  3. Tap Cellular Data

  4. Make sure your Hoam eSIM is selected

Android devices:

  1. Go to Settings

  2. Tap Connections

  3. Tap SIM Manager

  4. Tap Mobile Data

  5. Make sure your eSIM is selected

4. Reset the data connection

On your device’s Settings screen, enable Airplane Mode and wait 30 seconds, then switch off again. This will force the device to re-connect to the cellular network. Wait up to 15 minutes for the eSIM data plan to successfully authenticate and begin receiving 4G/LTE/5G data.

Still no data connection? Please contact us, and we will get back to you quickly.
